Safeguarding Students Beyond The Gate
BeyondTheGate Education offers specialist training for professionals working with children and young people within the education and wider sectors. The training utilises both an education and lived experience lens, along with evidence-based practice, to develop an understanding of the risk factors and identification of the indicators of those children and young people within education settings most vulnerable to youth violence, grooming, and exploitation.
It is a model developed by Steve Warner, a former Deputy Headteacher, with first-hand experience of the devastating impact that youth violence can have on a school community. BeyondTheGate has been widely shared with, amongst others, The DFE, Youth Justice Board, Hertfordshire Police, various Local Authorities, schools, and Governing Bodies and at The National Crime Conference and other professional forums.
He is also an accomplished blogger, having previously written for the Teacher Toolkit and Beyond The Shadows series.
